So, I have been thinking about this for a while… since it was posted on PopWatch earlier. I figured the girls would like this…

I have 2 lists… teenage/early twenties boys I would date if I was slightly younger & guys I feel ok admitting to crushing on…

1. Jim Halpert from The Office - like this was even a question. Jim is pretty much my dream guy. Funny, cute, tall and doesn’t take himself too seriously. Plus, he broke up a wedding with a kiss… that is quite an endorsement.

2. Aiden Shaw from Sex and the City - The perfect boyfriend. He is also adorable and funny, but also a total romantic and he builds things. With his hands. And the dog. Plus, I would kill people for that chair Carrie had that he made. I want my entire house covered in leather he stripped off an old train.

3. Dr. Doug Ross from ER - Umm, first, it is fucking George Clooney. Second, he was just the best. And he loved kids. And he is George Clooney. Do I need other reasons?

4. Coach Eric Taylor from Friday Night Lights - I dream of being Mrs. Coach. They are the most amazing couple. I imagine he would be a perfect partner in crime. That is really what I am looking for in a boyfriend.

5. Ned from Pushing Daisies - I have always had a thing for the boys with the tortured soul. And he is adorable. And likely has a soulmate in someone else, which is also a quality I don’t go looking for but usually find.

Honorable Mention goes to Chuck from Chuck because I don’t watch the show but dorks who are cute are pretty much my weakness. UPDATE - Crap, I forgot Ed from Ed! I am changing Ed and Ned! Ned is dropped from the list because Ed, the bowling alley owning lawyer… with those eyes and that smile and that goofiness, sign me up. And, he also fits into the loving his soulmate thing, so I would likely fall in love in a second. 

Second List of inappropriate teenage boys is…

1. Pacey Witter from Dawson’s Creek. Freaking duh. He counted to Ten. He sails. He remembered everything. He bought a wall. He loved that one chick even when she was crazy. These are qualities I am looking for in a man, so to find them in a 17 year old is awesome. Or disconcerting.

2. Logan Echolls from Veronica Mars - Ok, this is likely a bad decision as he is violent, crazy and unstable. But he is also criminally sexy and likely to make my knees weak with a kiss. And I imagine things would only get better from there. You always got to love a bad boy.

3. Tim Riggins from Friday Night Lights - I could buy him beer. He could take his shirt off. We would be an amazing couple.

Honorable Mention goes to Brian Krakow from My So Called Life because while I would have likely rebuffed him in High School, he would be at the top of my list now. Thank God I have grown up. The Jordan Catalano’s of the world have lost their ability to make me swoon.
